Abstract

For the production of beer and alcohol are used toxic and hazardous substances that pose risks to workers and neighbors in the industrial zone. But never has thought about which of the two processes is more risky industrially. The work is presented that enables diagnosis by analyzing HAZOP, consisting of a systematic methodology to identify all the scenarios and analyze their risk by covering the whole plant or process under analysis, which one is more risky laying the groundwork for determining Some steps that can be followed in order to minimize the damages that they cause to the environment. Risk analysis with this methodology showed that the process of beers and malts implies many dangers that threaten the health of people, making it the largest technological risk. It also uses a simulation program that demonstrates the risk scenarios of the study area. Taking into account the results of the program can be seen that the proximity of the facilities of the Company
Hatuey Beer Santiago to human settlements and other polluting industries makes it necessary to take immediate steps to ensure the technological security of people and air quality in this location.
