KINETIC STUDY OF GRINDING OF MENA RESERVOIR CHROMITE ALBERTINA

Abstract
On the determination of the enrichment capacity of metallurgical chromite’s ore Albertina´s Location, it was found that to obtain: an acceptable quality concentrate of to industry and high recovery of Cr 2O3 , is necessary to grind it until the liberation size of crhomite. Objective of this work is to show how the size reduction’s process elapses in the time. Experimentally it’s determined the m and k coefficients of the potential exponential equation in the grinding kinetics proposed by V.V.Tovarov. Was used the wet grinding in a balls mill’s where the following parameters were controlled: filled coefficient of mill, solid contents in the pulp and times of grinding. The m and k
coefficients turned into respectively 0,296 6 and 0,406 9, it allowed to outline the equation of the grinding’s kinetic for the generation of smallest particles that 0,56 mm. With it will be able to found orientatively the mineral in a given time.
