Abstract

In this paper we make a study of the behavior of two areas of thermal energy system in Siboney molasses manufacturing company located in the municipality Sibanicu, Camaguey Province, Cuba, carried out a comparison of the operational reliability of both, and these show the samebehavior in conflict through statistical analysis done and results of reliability indicators, revealing the inability to carry out preventive maintenance, an issue that threatens the operational readiness of the industry. A simulation study is performed to compare the possibilities of implementing a proposal developed by the IPROYAZ in the province of Camaguey, demonstrating the economic benefits thereof.
