Abstract

The objectives of this work have been to identify and evaluate safety conditions of an educational laboratory and an installation for pneumatic tires repairing with the purpose of reducing the environmental technological risks. For this purpose methods of qualitative analysis of risks are applied, such as the verification list ¿and what happen if...? /1, 2 /. Environmental and health problems are identified an evaluated by the realization of dangerous activities, the handling of substances toxic and faulty operation conditions. Facilities potentially dangerous are located. The priorities among the possible action alternatives to establish sequences of execution of preventive and of urgency actions in case of accidents of elaboration of environmental regulations for the studied facilities are selected.
By means of a safety study the fundamental dangers are identified, as well as the risks that are manifested in the facilities. The required investment becomes benefits for damages avoided to man, facilities and the environment.
The application of the methods contributes to strengthen the technology management in the plant for safety management.
