Abstract

In this paperthe methodology forthe design and constructionofa softwareto simulatea greenhousetraystilleris presented.It starts from an energy balance in the three main parts of these distillers i.e. tray, water and glass by developing a system of differential equations. Since the establishmentof this system ofequationswas implementedan algorithmto findits numericalsolution. This program usevarious optionsfor dimensioningthe equipmenttaking into account theclimatic characteristicsof the placewhereit will workas well as somestructural features.The resultsare shown bygraphs demonstratingconsistency withcalculations usingprofessionalsoftwareforthe analytical solutionof the equation systemused.
