Abstract

It is of great importance for the protection of the environment the use of biogas plants. This work has as objective the presentation of an alternative for the energy use of the trash of malted barley. He/she is carried out a characterization of the process of obtaining of beer Hatuey, identifying the different ones residual generated and the use of the trash of malt with energy ends. Inside the aspects of technological importance they were the possible uses of the biogás as well as the use of the resulting  biomass of the digestion like fertilizer or animal food. Based on the characteristics of the industry, he/she intends a polyethylene biodigestor for the fermentation of the bran. He/she is carried out an economic analysis of the proposed plant.
