Abstract

The formation of stable emulsions of crude oil proves to be a need for its pipage, but a high stability creates later difficulties in the operations of separation of water. The emulsions using the emulsifying agent EM – 10, preparation with products of the straw pyrolisis or waste pulp of cane, they have shown the possibility of forming direct emulsions (O/ W) with crude oil, convenient for transportation. The present work, contains the results of the studies accomplished on the rheology of the shaped emulsions using this emulsifying agent. In particular, the formation of the emulsion, the stability of the same are
analyzed at rest ( on the basis of the separation of water ), the possibility of your reconversion under agitation and characteristics of the stability of the emulsion reformulated. Different influential factors in the preparation of the emulsion, such like composition of the phases and the mechanical agitation are evaluated considering the behavior of the model of flow and the viscosity of the prepared emulsion, are told. The work confirms that the emulsion prepared with the emulsifying agent EM – 10, presents the stability conditions for pipeline transport, can be separated (by sedimentation) more than 60 % of
the water during storage or restore the same in similar conditions, to continue their transportation. This
has importance for the pipeline transportation of crude oil or heavy oil fractions and their subsequent use: separating him or bursting water (in emulsion).
