Abstract

In order to evaluate clay and sawdust mixing quality in the clay filters factory for domestic water treatment it was selected ash content in % as indicator and determined its concentration in each component, in homogenous mixture and in different points of the mixer at different times. A multifactorial variance analyze was done to determine if were differences in mixture content between various sampling points andin diverse sampling times.  Them a hypothesis test was done to verify if indicator content was equal in different times to theoretical calculated value. The relationship between the ash content and the mixing index whit the mixing time was determined and the time required for mixing, its efficiency and factors affecting it. Segregation of sawdust particles was verify, mixture homogeneity in different pointsand excess in current mixing time, being sufficient 3-4 min.
