Abstract
This paper shows the conduct of the extractions of the nickel and cobalt during the process of lixiviation with sulphuric acid of a sample of residual material (tails) of the technology Carbonate Ammoniacal (Process Caron), to vary different factors or parameters of study that have influence significantly in the course of the time. The experiments were planed and executed through the factorial design complete 2k based on the possible combinations between the variables of study and the chosen levels. Demonstrated that with the increment of the parameters of study: temperature, concentration of the leach agent, report liquidate-solid (L/S) and speed of agitation it increases the extractions of nickel and cobalt. The superior values 41,2 % of nickel and 48,6 % of cobalt it is obtained to 90 ºC, 100 g/L, L/S=3, 500 rpm and atmospheric pressure. They decided to him the equations of regression they describe the existent report between the factors and the extractions of nickel and cobalt, and the specific consumption went of 145,4 kg of sulphuric acid for ton of tailprosecuted.
