Abstract

In this work we obtain direct emulsions (O / W) of signature using emulsifier P, and also determine the conditions for stability of the emulsions obtained to facilitate its use in transporting it. The oil used is the CM-650, with Newtonian rheology and viscosity of 3,036 Pa.sa 30 °C which is used as fuel for electricity production in the “Thermoelectric Lidio Pérez de Felton, in Holguín Mayarí”. The study was conducted by varying the composition of oil between 60 and 70 %, the water content between 24 and 36 %, while the emulsifier composition varied between 4 and 6 % so that the sum oil / water + emulsifier be 100 %. With the help of STATISTICA 7 experimental design was conducted to determine the effect of the terms oil / water + emulsifier on the rheological behavior and stability of emulsions and by analyzing the results in the laboratory of experimental design became a model that describes the influence of oil, water and emulsifier and oil-water relations and oil-emulsifier on the emulsion viscosity in the intervals analyzed, demonstrating that lower viscosity values achieved in the relations 90 / 51 +9 that corresponds to the smallest percentage of oil and the largest amount of emulsifier. In the stability analysis can be seen that it is appropriate.
