Abstract

Considering the wide use of plant anamú for medicinal purposes and in the territory of Santiago de Cuba there is great interest in the development of processes that allow the use of anamú for therapeutic purposes, for which the dried plant is required for this causes work was developed with a view to obtaining a prototype solar dryer for drying the plant. In this paper the calculations were developed for the sizing of the prototype and the elements of the technical project team designed at the Research Center for Solar Energy developed. It also shows the built prototype and its evaluation idle (no load) is also shown. During the evaluation estimation confidence intervals it was determined that the average value of the maximum temperature for the days analyzed, has a value that is between 40,6 and 42,2 ºC for a confidence level of 0,95 and the average temperature is between 36,8 and 39,8 ºC, which are suitable for drying anamú.
