Evaluate the economic feasibility of a multipurpose plant for the production of sulfates
Abstract
The objective of this work is to study the alternatives of production plants for anganese Sulfate, Magnesium Sulfate Heptahydrate and a Multipurpose Plant that includes these two alternatives already mentioned; in order to make comparisons between them so that the most feasible can be selected. The cost index was used to calculate the cost of the equipment, the methodologies to determine the Total Costs of Investment and Production and the Excel spreadsheets. The economic analysis demonstrated the feasibility of designing a Multipurpose Plant for the production of sulphates with a recovery period of 3,67 years.
