Abstract

This paper aims to identify changes in the process of crystal growth of sucrose in the presence of weak magnetic fields. To develop the work was designed and conducted an experiment in growing crystals, from germs crystal (sugar crystals selected) at laboratory scale with supersaturated solutions of sucrose to 15 % at 240C, brought to a field static magnetic G between 2000 and 3500, assessing the rate of linear growth. The linear crystal growth analysis reported that in the presence of weak magnetic fields, there is a significant increase in crystal size over time compared to
untreated glass. Finally it is proposed and discussed from the physical point of view a possible mechanism of action of the magnetic field with the fluid.
