Abstract
The biomass gasification is one way energy conventions which maintain in phase the investigation and development with some application in the electrical generation. The scientific investigation activity about theme hit the center away improvement a design; modelation and evaluation ofdifferent type the gasifiers, the practical applications carry out through small and middle power for electric energy generation to use combustion internal engine. In this work presented the
evaluation of a gasifier system/internal combustion engine for determine: the operational parameters of the gasifier, the quality of the gas it produces and the electrical power and pollutant gases can be generated in the engine. The quality of the gas is evaluated according to its content of tar and particulate. The novelty consists in the use of a gasifier with two stages (points) of air injection, as a solution to improve the quality of the gas produced. At work we demonstrate how the use of a second injection of air into the gasifier decreases the tar content of the gas with regard to other types of gasifiers and during electricity generation of NOx emissions decrease with respect to natural gas.
