Abstract

The influence of formulation’s sustrates of coffee pulp with cedar chip, coconut and cocoa shells in the edible mushrooms production was investigated, using two strains of Pleurotus ostreatus and solid-state fermentation (SSF) techniques as an efficient biotechnological process for Pleurotus cultivation, because this technique every day is more used for agricultural wastes valorized. The best biological efficiency was obtained with the coffee pulp 100 %, 1,68 g fresh edible mushrooms/g dry substrate, being superior at the rest of sustrates; theses improve yours biological efficiency
values where it’s were mixture whit coffee pulp, also the cost of contaminate sustrate was eliminated, being more sanitary and economic the edible mushrooms production.
