Abstract
In the modeling and process simulation one of the decisive steps constitutes the parameters estimation and the obtained results depend in great measure of the rigor with which the essential parameters of the mathematical model are determined. On the base of a two-dimensional mathematical model and a software based on it, conceived for simulating the operation of the reactors used in the production of Hydrogen, by the catalytic steam reforming of LPG, in the company "Moa Nickel S. A" and parametric sensitivity analysis previouslyreported, on which it was detected that the heat and mass transport parameters: effective thermal conductivity (ke) and effective diffusivity (De) and the pre exponential factors in the reactions of reformation of the butane and of metanización, they are among the main parameters of the model, a methodology has been designed for the rigorous determination of these parameters, using as source of information the data of industrial operation. In this work the results obtained in the determination process of the kinetic parameters of the model
are presented, in accordance with the developed methodology.
