Abstract
In the department will begin the study of production of activated carbon from biomass of coconut shell and then be able to be used in environmental decontamination processes. This work is aimed at obtaining the coal chemical leaching method, to determine the variation in concentration, the amount adsorbed and the percentage of adsorption of copper ions solutions when treated with the same, with and without the elimination of its ash and get the curves that statistically reflect the dependence of the above factors over time. Among the methods used for the activation of charcoal method known as "Chemical Activation with leaching," this is divided into three stages: carbonization (pyrolysis), leaching and activation. The analysis was performed for the treatment of solutions potentiometric method)(containing ions Cu2+ with the PAC were: pH determined adsobida mass of copper, and) method of cuprethol (Copperamount adsorbed % adsorption. The study results showed that the PAC obtained with and without ashes can adsorb the heavy metal of their solutions in terms of experimentation. We obtained the curves and models to best fit the behavior of the data obtained Among the main findings are that the study of the adsorption of ions Cu2+ with activated charcoal from coconut shell under these conditions showed that labor can be
eliminated this heavy metal in their solutions.
