Abstract

The present paper has to do with the results obtained from the pyrolisis of waste pulp of sugar cane in an installation, applied at a scale of laboratory, in order to know the influence of determined factors in the performance of products of the pyrolisis of the sugarcane bagasse, and in particular with respect to the liquids of pyrolisis; These products are applied at fact-finding level as emulsificant and extraction agents. The set of pyrolisis has an oven of fixed bed and a system of separation of volatile products in three stages; A vacuum-pump for fast extraction of volatile products of the chamber of reaction was used. The experiments were carried out following a factorial 2k design, taking into account the influence of variables such as the speed of heating, temperature, time and apparent density. The performance of different products at the experimental conditions, where the highest production of volatile is obtained, is as follows: 61 % of pyrolysis liquid, 25.4 % of pyrolisis gas and 27.5 % of charcoal (expressed in dry base).
