Abstract
The coagulation- flocculation process is a very useful method for separating very thin nature colloidal particles that have a great stability in the water. The efficient operational parametersin this process must be established by experimental way. In this work, the simulation of the coagulation-flocculation process of waste water from the biological degradation step of the
Residual Waste Water Treatment Plant in the “Desembarco del Granma” Textile Factory of Villa Clara, is done with the objective of evaluate the substitution of the wastewater that really is used
in the laboratory of the subject “Operation and Unitary Process IV” (OPU-IV) that is taught in the third academic year of the Chemical Engineering career and in the Environmental Sanitary Master program by it’s no adequate characteristics. The simulation is done through the use of jar test method, supported on statistical analysis applying Excel and Statgraphic Software. The obtained results show the feasibility of the use of the proposed wastewater, and the operational optimal conditions were fixed with the use of the alumina at pH= 7 and dosage of 40 mg/L.
