STRATEGY FOR GENERATION OF ALTERNATIVES OF CLEANER PRODUCTION IN INDUSTRY TANNERY

Abstract

The implementation of a methodology for environmental and quality management systems integrated to process analysis for the prevention of environmental problems was applied in Abel Santamaría Tannery. The environmental policy of that industry was analyzed and the qualification of technical and economical development was acceptable. In difference form the environmental one was unacceptable because the residuals are not treated in adequate form causing negative environmental impacts. The environmental indicators for the monitoring it technical, economical and environmental develop were defined. As a result was suggested a technological modification based in the reuse of the liquors employed in the elimination of skin’s hairs and catalytic oxidation of sulfurs ions.
