Abstract

The combined industrial Hatuey Brewery, Cuba Ron is the land-based point source with the highest organic loading contributes to the Santiago Bay (41,55 %) by the river kharaj, according to research conducted by various researchers and specialists supported by CITMA causing damages to the water quality of both receiving bodies. 4 alternatives are proposed for the minimization of waste which would enable the recovery of 15,65 % of the residual liquid is discharged into the bay
through the river and saving kharaj 164,24 CUP 54 annually for purchases of fuel and water. In addition to the strategy of prevention of environmental pollution significantly decrease the
negative impacts caused by the dumping of waste, giving effect to one of the priority tasks in the territory, reducing the pollution of Santiago Bay.
