Abstract

This work deals with the technical, economical and environmental evaluation In Water Treatment Plant of the Power Generation Plant "10 de Octubre" of Nuevitas in order to have so much element of their operationandto give some alternatives for improving its behaviour. Principal results are: Process Water Chemical treatment is effective, with removal percents in range in pre treatment and demineralization processes, environmental analysis is satisfactory, but only sludge is sending not to a correct treatment, unitary production costs is infunction of  year season, according to the water characteristics and the demand of its used, reposition or generation. Its average value is between 1,41 $/m3 (May) a 2,07 $/m3 (January) del 2008. In general water plant treatment evaluation is an important  way in order to continue increasing operation alternatives in Electric National Union.
