Composition of the residual liquors from Textile Combined Celia Sánchez Manduley
Abstract
The work describes the technological process of the Textile Combined Celia Sánchez Manduley and the composition of its residuals is evaluated, based on the determination of physical-chemical parameters that constitute pollution indicators. Liquid residual samples were taken at two points of the company, in the period between January and March 2019. The parameters determined were: concentration of heavy metals, fats and oils, pH, conductivity, DQO and DBO. The results revealed that the concentration values of the heavy metals determined were within the Cuban norms for the dumping of residuals to the coastal zones. The rest of the parameters oscillated between values below and above the limits established by the Cuban norm. It is concluded that in these residuals there are organic compounds, high values of DBO, DQO, fats and oils, and that the industry expels a residual with insufficient treatment, resulting in a source of contamination to the Bay.
