Abstract
In this work, you get a black box model which provides an explicit relationship between the fraction of unconverted solid (I) as a ), particle size is considered,t function of time of complete reaction ( for cases reaction controlled by internal diffusion in particles of fixed size, thereby eliminating the needfor iterative procedures in situations of this nature, and treatment of this type of situation is reduced practically to the same degree of difficulty than other cases of possible controlling steps: external diffusion and chemical reaction.
The advantage provided by the use of this model is more significant when it comes to calculating the behavior of systems consisting of several units connected in series, where the use of iterative procedures is a degree of difficulty of considerable magnitude. Moreover, the procedure used can be applied to other situations where the absence of explicit relationships among variables of a process leads to similar difficulties.
