Abstract
This paper shows the results of chemical characterization of pyroligneous acid obtained by pyrolysis of sugarcane bagasse, residue of tobacco and coffee husks, for pyrolysis at bank scale.Pyroligneous acid chromatograms obtained from each type of biomass were constructed from the interferograms (Gram-Schmidt chromatograms). The major components identified were water and
acetic, formic, butyric and butanoic acid. There were also present compounds such as phenol and cresol. In the case of pyroligneous acid from pyrolysis residue of tobacco were identified as acetamide compound, nicotine, and pyrrolidinone propionamida.
